About Tom’s House

South Facing, with uninterrupted views towards Wellington Monument and the Blackdown Hills is situated Tom's House.  Sleeping up to 16 guests, Tom's House is ideal for large family gatherings, spacious enough, and thoughtfully laid out for all ages.

Also, if you require and at no extra cost, is Cosy Cott - a detached, self contained single story that can sleep upto an additional 4 guests.

There is parking for 10 average sized cars.

Tom's House & Cosy Cott holiday homes can be found in the old village of Langford Budville, Somerset TA21 0QZ.  Tom's House has five en-suite bedrooms and comfortably sleeps 16 guests. Each room comes with a relaxing sitting area for those quiet, get away moments.

Three of the bedrooms have additional high standard double sofa beds in the sitting room areas.  There are two super-king bedrooms, two king bedrooms and a twin bedroom on the first floor, just off the living room.

Tom's House is a reverse living house which lends itself nicely to the four bedrooms on the ground floor each having double French doors, three of which open out onto a covered veranda, and all four bedrooms lead out into the cottage garden.

The lower 4 bedrooms all have their own door key, allowing for extra independence.  The bedrooms look out over the garden, and quaint fireplace area, somewhere to sit around on a balmy summers evening; or cosy up on an autumnal day.  From here the patio and path lead onto the outside dining area, with seating for 20 guests, outdoor granite kitchen area with pizza oven, barbecue; and a wonderful hot tub to wind down in.

Secure dark wooden gates give additional peace of mind and are a marker when finding Tom's House in the village; head down the drive from these gates and into the car parking area.

Summer Breeze House

About Tom

Summer Breeze House is named after Julie's son Tom who has severe disabilities. After the usual running costs every penny generated from letting Toms House goes towards Tom's care and future. Tom has helped with every decision on how we run Tom's House, and Cosy Cott. Namely the theming of the rooms and accessories.

We loved our stay at Tom's House. We stayed with extended family including my father-in-law who is in a wheelchair. The access was really good for him with everything wide enough and rooms big enough and the lift was a real bonus. He felt much more independent the week we were there than he has in a long while. We really liked the upside-down design of the house which means that you get fantastic views across the fields and the brilliant idea of putting a lovely deck up there, which you can access from the kitchen and sitting room. I had my morning coffee out there and it felt so peaceful and beautiful. The house is really well designed and feels very homely. We are really into cooking and the kitchen is just full of all the things you need, so it just felt like home.  It wasn't warm enough for a barbecue the week we stayed but the garden looks really well equipped with all the right furniture and stuff for a good evening outdoors. My daughter and her boyfriend stayed in the annexe section which they loved, as it was like having their own cottage for the week.Thank you so much for having us, we had a brilliant stay and we'll definitely be back.
